About Nicky Curran

I came to coaching by an unusual route. I spent many years in the live events industry, working closely with high-profile leaders in the run-up to their moment on stage; watching, up close and learning what separates someone who commands a room from someone who simply gets through a presentation.

That's where I first understood that communication isn't just a soft skill. It’s the foundation of excellent leadership.

I now work as an executive coach specialising in communication, with senior executives and global teams at organisations including Unilever, Shell, Google, Gilead Sciences, Atlas Copco, Appian Capital, and HERE Technologies.

A qualified coach, not just an experienced one

I'm currently completing the Henley MSc in Coaching for Behavioural Change, the formal grounding beneath years of practice. It’s why my coaching is built on how people actually change, rather than on instinct and experience alone.

My Approach to Coaching

The EndFirst Method

My particular strength is communication: helping leaders get to the point, cut through detail to offer insight rather than data, and land with impact in any room. I’ve built that thinking into the EndFirst Method — a structured way of working backwards from the outcome you want, rather than building a case and hoping it lands. It runs through my 1:1 coaching and my Strategic Storytelling programmes, delivered to hundreds of executives entirely online.

How I coach

Most executive development stops at insight — but knowing something about yourself doesn’t change what you do on Monday. I coach for the harder thing: behaviour that actually shifts and stays shifted, grounded in the evidence on how people change rather than instinct alone. That’s the work, and it’s where communication and coaching become the same discipline.
